Primary health care (PHC) has proven to be a useful strategy to improve access to health services. However, in Latin American and Caribbean countries its application is not homogeneous.
My new article, coauthored with Patricia Suárez, Enrique Peñaloza and Laura Peña, recently published by the International Journal for Equity in Health (IJEqH), provides elements for the debate about the need to intensify both its application and care networks, according to the needs of the populations.
